踊りは芸術か、余興か Is the dance an art or a leisure ?

サンクトペテルブルグの公立のダンスアカデミーです。
ロシアと日本の文化の違いを感じますね。
ロシアやヨーロッパのいくつかの国では、バレエを始めとするダンスは偉大な芸術で、人々に欠かせないものとして認識されています。だから、小学生くらいの年齢から、たくさんのダンスの学校があります。
日本では、残念ながら、多くの人はダンスやその他の芸術は余暇にやるものという認識を持っています。一部の人達の情熱だけが支えているんですね。ん～

It is the public dance academy of St. Petersburg.
I feel difference of culture in Japan and Russia.
In Russia and some European country, the dance represented by ballet is great art and recognized as necessary for human. So, there are many school of dance for children still elementary school age.
In Japan, unfortunately, many people are recognizing that dance and other art are hobby that is done in spare time. Only the passion of the specific person is supporting them. Mmm
